  7. BOOT FROM EXTERNAL DRIVE:

  9. Connect yer external drive as usual on
  10. the back of the Amiga.
  11. Then open your computer.
  12. But beware!Never touch any of the pins
  13. with your fingers, if ya have to, just
  14. touch  the  radiator.  The  descripted
  15. 8520 is not special sensitive, but you
  16. better take care!!!!!!!!!
  17. Find the  chips, on which  you see the
  18. number 8520. There are  two chips like
  19. this. The one, we talk about is number
  20. #move 325,0
  21. UGN. This  number  is printed  on  the
  22. chip.
  23. After finding the chip, you'll have to
  24. use the pins 12 and 13. Start counting
  25. from the left to the right.
  26. Now, connect  these two  chips with  a
  27. wire between pin 12 and 13.
  28. To make it clearer to you, look on the
  29. left on the drawing.
  30. Select  the  right wire if you want to
  31. boot from  df1: or  the left wire  for
  32. booting from the internal drive.

  35. I never tried it, but I am nearly sure
  36. that  it works. If  you  should  be so
  37. stupid as  to damage  the  Amiga or if
  38. there was an error in the description,
  39. so that you damage your Amiga, neither
  40. the  SN nor the  writer of the article
  41. takes over any responsibility  for any
  42. causes of damage. But, don't panic, in
